Additel ADT 760A is an automatic handheld pressure calibrator designed for precise, mobile and highly automated pressure calibration. A major advantage of the Additel ADT 760A is its fully integrated electrical pressure generation and automatic control. The required pressure setpoint is entered directly on the instrument. The integrated electrical pump then generates the pressure while the internal controller automatically adjusts and stabilizes the pressure at the required value.

For many applications, this eliminates the need for external hand pumps, separate pressure regulators and additional pressure sources. The result is a compact and highly automated pressure calibration system designed for efficient field and laboratory calibration.

The ADT 760A series is available in three basic pressure configurations. The ADT 760A-LLP is designed for particularly low pressures and operates up to ±75 mbar. The ADT 760A-D covers pressures from −0.86 to 2.5 bar, while the ADT 760A-MA extends the pneumatic pressure range up to −0.86 to 25 bar, equivalent to approximately −12.5 to 375 psig.

Depending on the model, the ADT 760A series provides accuracy down to 0.01 % FS. The ADT 760A-LLP provides an accuracy of 0.05 % FS, while ADT 760A-D and ADT 760A-MA configurations are available with 0.01 % FS or 0.02 % FS accuracy. Stability of the internal pressure modules is specified at 0.005 % FS.

The Additel ADT 760A offers considerably more than automatic pressure generation. The instrument platform provides four measurement channels: one internal pressure channel for pressure generation and measurement, two external pressure measurement channels and one electrical measurement and source channel. Pressure and electrical process signals can therefore be handled within a single calibration setup.

Another key feature of the new generation is its modern user interface. Additel uses a large touchscreen concept with operation inspired by modern smartphones. This simplifies the configuration of calibration tasks, pressure setpoints and the extensive process functions.

The DL models add HART communication and data logging. Six versions are therefore available: ADT 760A-LLP, ADT 760A-LLP-DL, ADT 760A-D, ADT 760A-D-DL, ADT 760A-MA and ADT 760A-MA-DL.

The new generation also incorporates an enhanced contamination protection system. Additel refers to this technology as the CPS – Contamination Prevention System. It helps protect the internal pneumatic system during demanding field applications.

Flexible and Modular Pressure Measurement

The Additel ADT 760A-LLP-DL provides the same low pressure range while adding the advanced DL functions, including HART communication and data logging.

Additel ADT 760A-D

The Additel ADT 760A-D covers a pressure range from −12.5 to 35 psi or approximately −0.86 to 2.5 bar.

Depending on the pressure module installed, accuracy options of 0.01 % FS or 0.02 % FS are available. Both gauge and differential pressure applications are supported.

The Additel ADT 760A-D-DL combines the −0.86 to 2.5 bar pressure range with HART communication and data logging. This configuration is particularly suitable for documented calibration of pressure transmitters in low and medium pressure ranges.

The Additel ADT 760A-MA provides the highest pressure capability within the portable ADT 760A series.

Automatic Pressure Generation and Control

The central feature of the Additel ADT 760A is the combination of automatic pressure generation and closed-loop pressure control in a portable instrument.

Unlike a conventional handheld pressure calibrator, the pressure does not have to be generated manually and adjusted using a fine control valve.

The operator enters the required pressure through the user interface. The integrated pump and pressure controller then automatically generate and adjust the pressure.
